Federal lending disclosures
Read every notice. Then acknowledge.
Rivven is required to give you these federal notices before you accept any offer from a partner bank. Flip the toggle at the bottom to record an electronic acknowledgment — Rivven stores the timestamp, your IP, and which version of these notices you signed.
Notice 01 of 4
The Equal Credit Opportunity Act prohibits creditors from discriminating against credit applicants on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, age (provided the applicant has the capacity to enter into a binding contract), because all or part of the applicant’s income derives from any public assistance program, or because the applicant has in good faith exercised any right under the Consumer Credit Protection Act.
The federal agency that administers compliance with this law concerning this creditor is the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), 1700 G Street NW, Washington, DC 20552.
If you believe you have been discriminated against, you should send a written complaint to the creditor at the address listed below and to the CFPB.
Notice 02 of 4
Under the Truth in Lending Act, you have the right to receive written disclosures that describe the cost of credit and the terms of repayment before you are obligated on a loan. Disclosures include the annual percentage rate (APR), the finance charge, the amount financed, the total of payments, the payment schedule, and any late-payment or prepayment penalties.
Rivven discloses the APR, term, monthly payment, and total cost of credit for each partner offer before you accept a loan. You are not obligated to accept any offer, and accepting an offer will require a hard credit pull by the originating partner bank.
Notice 03 of 4
The Fair Credit Reporting Act requires that we tell you about your rights regarding information in your credit file. Anyone who uses a credit report or another consumer report to deny your application for credit, insurance, employment, or to take another adverse action against you must give you a notice that includes the name, address, and phone number of the consumer reporting agency that supplied the report, and a statement of your right to request a free copy of the report within 60 days.
You have the right to dispute inaccurate information in your credit file. As a soft pre-qualification, Rivven only requests a soft credit report from a partner bureau; a hard credit pull occurs only when you accept a loan with a partner bank.
Notice 04 of 4
The Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (SAFE Act) requires residential mortgage loan originators to be licensed or registered with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS). It also prohibits persons who are not registered or licensed from holding themselves out as mortgage loan originators.
Rivven’s partner banks are SAFE Act–compliant state-licensed lenders; Rivven does not originate mortgage loans directly. Soft pre-qualification through Rivven is not a mortgage origination, and no SAFE Act registration applies to your use of the Rivven pre-qualification tool.
